The focus of The Pupil Tree curriculum is to enable each child to think, reason and act independently with confidence, and at the same time, develop a readiness for formal academic skills.
We use a thematic and developmentally appropriate curriculum created by experts and based on principles of how children develop and learn:
- Each child is unique
- A child develops in multiple domains. Physical, social, emotional and cognitive development are closely inter-related
- A child's early development has a lasting influence on his or her life
- Children are active learners. They use their experience of the world around them to construct their own unique meaning

- Be relevant, meaningful and based on prior experiences allowing children to make connection
- Be challenging yet achievable with sufficient adult support
- Be based on each child’s individual development
- Allow children to be active learners
- Integrate across content areas
